This is a 1 Year Contract for a Java Specialist in Raleigh, NC
Job Description:
The company is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate will fill the role of Specialist on the State Automated Driver License System(SADLS). The Specialist will be responsible for Java development including Web Services.
Role responsibilities:
• Analyze, define, and document requirements for data and business processes
• Design, document, and coordinate desired changes to Web Applications
• Document project deliverables as assigned
• Analyze and estimate feasibility and compatibility with other applications and projects
• Provide quality control for project deliverables
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Must Have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate or government as programmer analyst.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java, SOAP and REST based Web Services.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and/or Backbone.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EJB, Hibernate and JPA.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in JBOSS.
- Proven experience in programming techniques using Java and Javascript.
- Proven knowledge of principles and techniques of computer programming, testing, debugging, implementation and documentation.
- Proven experience with analysis and design.
- Excellent communication skill (written, verbal, presentations)
- Excellent organization, analytical, planning and scheduling skills
- Ability to resolve highly complex problems.
- Self-starter who can work with a large and diverse team of business, management and IT individuals.
- Demonstrated experience working with large project teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with State or county government
- Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Experience
- Experience with Enterprise Level Application Development spanning two or more business areas
- Responsive Web Development
- Test driven development
- Agile methodologies
- Integration Server experience - Apache Jenkins
- Knowledge of TSO, COBOL, CICS, DB2 in the mainframe environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 5 years of Web Services
- 5 years of Java
- 2 years of JavaScript/JQuery/Backbone
- 2 years of HTML5/CSS3
- 5 years of Eclipse IDE or IBM Rational Developer for Z systems
- 3 years of EJB/Hibernate/JPA
- 3 years of JBOSS
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of IBM z/OS
- 2 years of COBOL/CICS/DB2/TSO
- 1 years of Responsive Web Development (RWD)
- 1 years of Integration Server experience - Apache Jenkins
- 3 years of Maven
- 2 years of Agile Methodologies
- 3 years of Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- 3 years of Git
