Our client is looking for a Tableau Developer to lead the report creation and delivery efforts for our business owners. Champion the process for converting reports that are manual today to the self-service framework to allow end users to generate reports on demand.
Within the first ninety days:
Display proficiency in running each of the weekly reports
Create documentation for report generation for each report
With help from other data engineers, port at least two major reports to self-service framework and train end users on how to generate them
Within the first six months:
Create data models and ETL for all of the existing reports
Port all smaller reports to the self-service framework
Create data model for queries used to generate each report
Create ETL to support analysts in each of the business units to populate their data marts
What You'll Do:
Design, build, and deliver new reports using a combination of SQL skills, data export, aggregation tools, and data formatting
Work with other data engineers to automate reports by generating ETL and data models to allow them to be incorporated into a self-service framework
Serve as a subject matter expert for data model and structure
Who You Are:
Familiarity with Excel as a report delivery mechanism and aggregation tool
Experience using MySQL, Postgres, and an ETL creation tools
Ability to write complex SQL
Ability to gather business unit requirements and turn them into technical requirements
Experience with data modeling best practices and data optimization techniques
