Position: Devops Engineer with . Strong Python and Linux experience

Location: Boston, MA

Location: 6-9 month contract.

DevOps Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Immediate need for a Development & Operations Engineer (DevOps) – a talented and hard-working individual who is self-motivated, process-driven, customer-oriented, and who has a passion for streamlining software applications using a variety of technologies.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support various customer-facing applications related to online platforms. 
• Improve automation to the core framework of the online platforms. 
• Self-manage when given prioritized goals and objectives. 
• Seek out opportunities to identify and deal with issues before they arise. 
• Document systems thoroughly, both in terms of design and implementation. 
• Provide reliable and accurate time estimates for tasks. 
• Provide ongoing support for existing applications. 
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degrees (or equivalent) in CS, Engineering
• Minimal 3 years of professional experience in software engineering. 
• Minimal 2 years of professional Python with strong programming skills. 
• Minimal 2 years of Linux-hosted development. 
• Minimal 2 years of experience developing medium to large-scale software applications, with load balancing. 
• Minimal 1 year of experience with SQL and No-SQL database packages. 
• Familiarity with some of the following: MongoDB, Redis, Git, RabbitMQ, Agile, DevOps
