Job Title:                             QA Engineer

Location:                             Reston, VA

Duration:                             12+ Months/Contract

 

Interview:Telephonic and Face 2 Face

Rate is $35/hr max

 

 Job Description:

· Quality Assurance engineer will be responsible for testing web based application which includes both backend and front end testing of sites, forms, cross browser and unit testing.

· QA engineer should be a team player and willing to work closely with the team do what is required to resolve issues.

· Experience and expert knowledge on Quality Assurance standards, software, tools, and best practices

· Work as an embedded QA on an agile scrum team.

· Hands on experience on both Manual and Automation Testing,

· Experience in automation testing using Selenium or QTP and backend database testing experience.

· Ability to analyze and understand functional requirements for software being tested and document Quality Management Plan.

· Responsible to write test cases and signoff user stories as a release candidate.

· Manage/assign/prioritize defects for the development team and work closely with developers towards resolution.

· Perform manual QA of web application with experience using JIRA to create/execute test cases for smoke/regression testing.

· Experience in various testing phases Integration, Regression, UAT, etc.

· Report test execution results accurately to the software development team and management.

· Ability to troubleshoot/triage issues using tools and by analyzing log files.

· Strong Written and Oral communication skills to assist PM with documentation during initial phase of development along with QA documentation

· BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
