Position: Scrum Master/Project Manager

Location: Carson City, NV 

Duration: 6 months

Rate: DOE

 

 

Job Description:

Need 8+ Years During that time the SCRUM Master will be managing three (3) SCRUM teams working on a variety of projects while mentoring three (3) new SCRUM Masters and three (3) new Product Owners.  These activities include, but are not limited to:

a.     Product planning

b.    Sprint planning

c.     Backlog grooming

d.    Product backlog management

e.     Feature and user story development

f.     Estimation and sizing

g.    Release planning

h.     Facilitating daily standup meetings

While there are two (2) specific products IT has in mind for development and included in the Deliverables, final products selected for AGILE development are subject to change based on the priorities set by the Department.

Client will be developing three (3) SCRUM.  Team 1 has been in place for approximately 10 months and will remain intact with the exception that a new SCRUM Master will need to be mentored.  Teams 2 and 3 will be new.  Some members will have had formal training while others will be new to AGILE development methodologies.  Both of these teams have no experience in applying AGILE development methodologies.

Client IT is using Team Foundation Server, the SCRUM teams need to learn how the AGILE process is performed using cards and the SCRUM board before using electronic tools.

Client IT is looking to hire an MSA consultant for six (6) months to manage the three (3) SCRUM teams while mentoring the new SCRUM Masters and Product Owners

Ensures that all the SCRUM processes are followed so that the SCRUM team delivers on the incremental minimally marketable features to the client iteratively;

Ensures that the team is protected from external disturbances so that it can focus on the sprint goals;

Ensures that the product owner is available to groom the product backlog so that the team has a consistent flow of work that can benefit the customer;

Ensures that the product owner prioritizes features for the team so that the team delivers user stories at a consistent pace;

Coaches the IT organization on SCRUM processes so that the organization makes available the required systems and tools for continuous build, automated testing, etc.; and

Promotes the use of information radiators and work spaces to increase visibility of progress and communication.
