Position: TSM Admin

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 3 months

 

6+ years of experience in Backup & Restore/Storage     environment and 3 years of daily hands-on support &     administration of Symantec NetBackup & Backup Exec in    large enterprise environment.

 Specialized experience includes: concept of BackUp,     Restore, Archive, Performance Tuning, policy creation &     modification; must have experience in current NetbackUp     /TSM / CommVault application tools; tuning     NetBackUp/BackUpExec / TSM / CommVault to gain     maximum performance of tape drives & maximum     throughput of servers; ability & proven experience writing &     maintain scripts to perform NetBackUp / TSM /    CommVault functions utilizing command line interface

At least 5+ years of experience in Development/     Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and     deployment 

At least 5+ years of experience in capturing requirements     related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and     mapping current business process

Good Analytical, Planning, Co-ordination and     Communication skills 

Experience with project management

Experience and desire to work in a management     consulting environment that requires regular travel.

Install and configure TSM 5.x, 6.3 on windows and UNIX platform.

Working knowledge on Disaster recovery.

Working Knowledge on TDPs (Oracle, SQL etc.).

Working Knowledge on Virtual machine backup and recovery.

Working knowledge of Tape Libraries (storagetek, IBM)/Tape Drivers DLT/LTO/3590/9840.

Thorough understanding of backup and recovery technologies and practices      

Business Impact analysis experience as well as ROI/RTO analysis experience

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team        

Strong ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects required       

Excellent learning skills required        

Ability to manage vendor relations required
