Position: AIX Admin

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 3 months

 

Overall 6+ years of Unix administration Experience out of which at least 5+ years should be in AIX Environment.

Installing, Configuring and Maintaining of AIX Servers.

Knowledge in implementation of Power 5/Pseries configuration, VPAR, LPAR, DLPAR, HMC, HACMP/HMC Clusters , VIO concepts.

Strong experience in interfacing of external devices like storage, networking and backup devices.

Modifying Kernel parameters, Package/Patch Administration

Capacity to plan and execute UNIX Security.

Strong concepts in  TCP/IP, NFS, DNS ,NIS, Samba, Virtualization etc

At least 6 years of experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements and designing solutions.

Experience and understanding of Production support and performance engineering.

Experience in AIX 6.x, AIX 5.2 & AIX 5.3.

Experience in LVM And Clusters

Knowledge of server installation and recovery, LVM concepts, backups, network concepts-NIS, NFS, TCPIP, routing.

Knowledge on HACMP and logical partitioning desirable

Strong in troubleshooting H/W and Operating System issue.

Configuration and Management of Veritas Volume Manager,

Veritas Filesystem and VCS.

Knowledge in writing scripts (shell/python/perl).

Certification on AIX is a plus.

To participate & Work with Local & Global team.

Ready to take additional challenges.

Good Project Management skills.
