Position:  Sun Solaris Admin

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 3 months

 

Overall 5+ years of demonstrated experience in sun solaris environment.

Installing, Configuring and Maintaining Sun servers (solaris 9/10).

Proficiency in various sun hardware like (E1290, E6800/6900,E4800,V890,V880,V490,V480).

Experience in AIX 6.x, AIX 5.2 & AIX 5.3 is desirable

Experience in LVM And Clusters

Knowledge of server installation and recovery, LVM concepts, backups, network concepts-NIS, NFS, TCPIP, routing.

Knowledge on logical partitioning desirable

Configuring and Administrating Solaris zones and containers.

Experience on Virtualization & Server sizing is desirable

Installation and configuration of HA environment using sun or veritas cluster.

Modifying Kernel parameters, Package/Patch Administration

Installing and maintaining solaris Jumpstart environment.

Strong in troubleshooting H/W and Operating System issue.

Configuration and Management of Sun and Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas File system and VCS.

Understanding of NAS and SAN Storage.

Administration of LDAP/NIS Environment.

Knowledge in writing scripts.

Certification on Solaris is a plus.

To participate & Work with Local & Global team.

Ready to take additional challenges.

Good Project Management skills.
