Title: SCRUM Master – Java Development team

Bill Rate: $45/-hr c2c

Acceptable: H1B, GC, USC

Length: 1.5 years

Due Date: Monday, March 6

Interview: WebEx (Video)

Location: Boise, ID

 

• Experience working with government agencies is required. Experience implementing a Medicaid Readiness Initiative for a Health and Welfare/Human Services agency would be advantageous.
• Champion sharing Agile knowledge across the organization (organizing 1-day open spaces for our agile community, or organizing cross-team workshops).
• Conflict resolution, not afraid to deal with conflicts. Knowledge to know when it is good to help the team and say "No" and when to help the team push for more results.
• Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining (aka grooming) and managing the product backlog.
• Supporting and educating the Development Team, especially with respect to self-organization, agile engineering, agile testing and incremental and iterative software development.
• Take an Agile leadership role in the organization's Continuous Improvement program; helping teams develop effective improvement objectives and plans to achieve them.
• First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM )
• Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, scaling agile across multiple teams, handling defects, etc.)
• The ability to distinguish between what "is Scrum" what is "not Scrum"
• Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc.
• Understand the software development tools such as Cucumber and Jira
