Location               : Carmel, IN (Onsite Interview)

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing automated tests to support business initiatives. This individual will be a pivotal member of an Agile Scrum team working closely with developers and the product owner to drive a successful testing strategy. This individual should be passionate about quality and work cohesively with the team.

Technology: SQL, JavaScript, HTML, Selenium/Protractor, Frisby.js 

Responsibilities:

• Develop automated tests to support our client's business initiatives as part of an Agile software development team
• Determine if requirements are clear, concise, testable and meet customer expectations by participating in grooming sessions and reviewing user stories
• Interpret requirements to develop positive and negative test scenarios
• Deliver working, tested, and releasable features in each sprint
• Provide accurate estimates for test design and execution work; participate in grooming sessions
• Write automated tests in JavaScript using testing tools and libraries; Contribute to the automation test frameworks when needed
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot problems
• Document and communicate test results and defects

Qualifications

• Strong test development experience in using automated testing frameworks
• Demonstrable experience writing automated tests.
• Experience preferred in one or more of the following technologies: SQL, JavaScript, HTML, Selenium/Protractor, Frisby.js
• Ability to learn and use leading technologies
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to think strategically
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and report software defects and configuration issues
• Experience in teams using Agile and Scrum needed
• Experience API testing is a plus
