Job Description for Platform Engineer

• Big Data Administrator with 10-12 years of experience on Hadoop Cluster Setup and Upgrade using Ambari  for Hadoop, Hive, HBase
• 2+ yrs strong experience around managing large clusters, setting up configuring and tuning Hadoop distributions - IBM Big Insights / Hortonworks 
• 2+ yrs strong background in Linux administration and scripting and background of managing Java based environments.
• 2+ yrs store experience in setup and monitoring of Reporting Platforms, Hadoop Platform and NoSQL Platforms
• Highly proficient & Customer facing Project experience involving design, development and deployment in one of the areas mentioned above
• Able to provide infrastructure recommendations, capacity planning and develop utilities to monitor cluster better
• Demonstrate understanding factors that affect distributed system performance, including hardware and network considerations.
• Candidate should have at least one or two projects delivered at Production Scale on above technology stacks.
• Experience with cluster maintenance tasks such as creation and removal of nodes, cluster monitoring and troubleshooting. Manage and review Hadoop log files. 
• Experience installing and implementing security for Hadoop clusters.
• Installing Hadoop Updates, patches and version upgrades. Automating the same through scripts.

Job Description for Java Data Engineer

• Hands on Technical Lead 8-10 years of experience working on custom development using Core Java, Rest Services, WAS (WebSphere App Server), Spring Boot, Spring UI and HBase, 
• Highly proficient & Customer facing Project experience involving design, development and deployment in one of the areas mentioned above
• Design and implement core technologies in fast paced environment, with minimum guidance
• Experience in addressing non-functional requirement's and large application deployment architectures
• Experience in any one or more of the following technologies
o  2 + yrs as an J2EE architect with strong experience in core Java, spring and spring boot development 
o  2 + yrs on HBase and Reporting platform such as IBM Watson Explorer experience  
o Strong experience in design, development, upgrade and deployment of Core Java, Rest Services, WAS, Spring Boot, Spring  and HBase
• Candidate should have at least one or two projects delivered at Production Scale on above technology stacks.
