Description:

1) have all the Required skill set and have worked as an "Project Manager (Enterprise level COTS systems implementation)" in a large & Complex

enterprise level IT Environment. Prefer exp with "SalesForce implementations" and "Travel Management Systems".

2) have Minimum of 7-8+ years of successful experience in Project Management;

3) can provide at least 3 verifiable experience from completed and/or substantially completed jobs that closely match this request (Filling the client provided form) + fill out a skill Matrix.

4) Can go through a background check including fingerprinting + Agree to a Face to face interview OR a WEB CAM Interview (at your own cost).

5) A Competitive Rate.

6) will be available in April 2017 time-frame as it takes a minimum of 2-3 weeks for a start after a successful interview.

This is a fixed fee/hourly based project which is inclusive of travel, lodging, per diem expenses and all other costs associated with the completion of the associated tasks.


Purpose:

Our CLIENT is in need of a Project Manager to perform project management services for a Statewide Travel Management System implementation. This

position will require coordination with the awarded vendor, Vertiba,responsible for implementing the system, state agency personnel, and internal and external stakeholders.


SCOPE OF WORK:

The new Statewide Travel Management System consists of a travel application that will be provided to the state by Vertiba and powered by the SalesForce platform. This application will provide for electronic standardized forms for travel approvals, reimbursements, and travel advances. These forms will be electronically routed for approval and the system will electronically interface with the state personnel system (People First) and the state accounting system (FLAIR). The system will provide for reporting functions.


The Project Manager for the Statewide Travel Management System is responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring project plans, identifying and mitigating project risks, reporting and escalating project issues and risks, overseeing the change management process, defining project tasks and agency personnel requirements, verifying and validating the solution providers master project plan, providing direction and support to the project teams, and monitoring project execution in support of the Statewide Travel Management System.


Preference will be given to candidates who have strength in the following areas:

• Experience with Project Management methodologies based on the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge (PMBOK);

• Experience with leading successful collaborations between vendor teams and state agencies with an emphasis on strong communications;

• Experience in serving in a project manager role for implementing large scale, enterprise level COTS systems;

• State of Florida financial system background in the specific area of expense tracking and FLAIR integration;

• Specific experience with project management of SalesForce implementations and SalesForce application support is strongly preferred.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

Project Management:

• Serves as the liaison between the customer agencies, internal team resources, and the vendor's implementation and development team.

• Maintain and track all associated project plans including the master project plan, communications plan, testing plan, training plan and agency integration plans.

• Manages project timeline, tasks, requirements and specifications according to standard project management practices.

• Identifies the implementation team's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.

• Provide status reports focused on cost, scope and timeline to Project Sponsor and external stakeholders.

• Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal stakeholders.

• Evaluates underlying assumptions for the implementation plan and challenges the vendor and agency business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.

• Manages project change requests and the Change Management process.

• Document, monitor and mitigate project risk.

• Provides input for project planning to accomplish project goals within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards.

• Reviews project deliverables from the vendor and recommends acceptance or changes to deliverables as appropriate.


Project Execution:

• Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Works independently to verify project concepts and vendor performance.

• Enforces project deadlines and schedules.

• Communicates and applies project standards.

• Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.

• Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project.

• Ensures requirements, functionality and resource allocations meet project deliverables based on the nature and scope of the project.

• Manages/schedules tasks, deadlines and milestones for all stakeholders and resources.

• Identifies and manages overall project dependencies and ensure project deliverables stay on-time, on-target and on-budget.


MANDATORY Qualifications and Experience:

College diploma or university degree in business, commerce or information technology with Business Analysis Certification with at least five years

of experience, or the equivalent in education and experience. Experience in operations/process engineering development and maintenance.


Project Management:

• Experience with project management for large, enterprise COTs implementations.

• PMP certification preferred.

• Strong understanding of PMBOK methodology for project management.

• Strong organizational skills including multitasking and tracking simultaneous project execution threads


Communication:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

• Ability to communicate technical matters clearly in lay terms for full comprehension by non-technical users

• Facilitation of team and client meetings.

• Deliver informative, well-organized presentations.

• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

• Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond training.


Problem Solving:

• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects.

• Specific experience with Project Management of SalesForce implementations and SalesForce application support is strongly preferred.
