Skill: Data Center Architect (US Citizens and GC Only) for contract

Location: Chicago IL

Rate: Market

Duration: Long term

 

This is a senior role responsible for Data Center design and technology implementation such as Server, Storage, Virtualization, Automation and Business continuity.

Responsibilities:

• Define, implement and maintain Data Center architecture
• Build Data Centers and all the related  technology  infrastructure
• Establish, document and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices
• Ensure that security and compliance requirements are implemented and maintained
• Work with Project Managers and Technical teams to ensure availability of Data Center and related services on time as per defined IT transformation and transition timelines
• Work with vendors to ensure on time delivery of services

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a DC Architect, performing design, build and maintenance of Data Centers
• Pre­vi­ous expe­ri­ence with  Data Center transformation and Transition projects
• Knowledge of Blade Systems, SAN , Ethernet Switching and converged infrastructure
• Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery
• Effective working with geographically dispersed teams and customers
• Strong relationship management skills
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to take ownership for issue resolution
• VMware virtualization concepts
