Skill: Data Center Architect (US Citizens and GC Only) for contract
Location: Chicago IL
Rate: Market
Duration: Long term
This is a senior role responsible for Data Center design and technology implementation such as Server, Storage, Virtualization, Automation and Business continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Define, implement and maintain Data Center architecture
- Build Data Centers and all the related technology infrastructure
- Establish, document and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices
- Ensure that security and compliance requirements are implemented and maintained
- Work with Project Managers and Technical teams to ensure availability of Data Center and related services on time as per defined IT transformation and transition timelines
- Work with vendors to ensure on time delivery of services
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a DC Architect, performing design, build and maintenance of Data Centers
- Previous experience with Data Center transformation and Transition projects
- Knowledge of Blade Systems, SAN , Ethernet Switching and converged infrastructure
- Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery
- Effective working with geographically dispersed teams and customers
- Strong relationship management skills
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to take ownership for issue resolution
- VMware virtualization concepts
