Role: Devops Engineer
Location: Reno, NV
ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review the current Chef Ops Works cloud deployment, validate the architecture based on the business use case, validate that best practices, as defined by chef have been implemented.
• Review current set of cookbooks and recipes.
• Ensure that all desired functionality works appropriately.
• Work with the Cloud Infrastructure Team to capture events which will trigger automated tasks.
• Build Self-Service capabilities.
• Design and implement a scalable Chef infrastructure.
• You will be implementing chef in a Windows Server/RedHat Linux environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• 3-5 Years designing, implementing, extending, and supporting Chef in an enterprise environment.
• 2-3 Year Experience working within an AWS Technical Operations Team.
• Well versed in Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Strong to Expert level Ruby, and Scripting skills - must be able to demonstrate.
• Strong skills within both Windows Server and Linux RedHat environments.
• Chef Certified.
