Role:  Informatica Developer - Cognos is must
Location: Pleasanton, CA

Duration: 6 months contract with possible extension

Job Responsibilities:

• Candidate should have minimum 9 years of experience.
• 3+ years DW /BI expertise
• Experience with implementing DW/BI solutions involving informatica, oracle, cognos (or BO or MSTR)
• Understands concept of dimensional modeling, star schema
• Designs and develop ETL solutions/data integration mappings
• Designs and architects ETL solutions while focusing development of reusable components and aligning to Cengage DW vision
• Ensures adherence to Cengage standards, policies and quality compliance, enterprise metadata definition
• Ensures incorporation of best practices and lessons learned from prior projects.
• High / low level design and ETL mappings
• ETL Mapping development
• Documentation of phase-end deliverables
• Cognos report design (Report Studio report)
• Cognos report development (Report Studio report, Active Report)
• Cognos Cube development and deployment
• Report design and identification of the objects required, tables, matrix, charts etc.
• Review work products delivered by developers
• Report testing strategy formulation and review of test plan and test cases
• Report testing
• Good communication skills

 

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
