Purpose:
The Birst Developer is responsible for support development of front end reports and dashboards for this global project. Also need to be able to help do analysis, design, programming, testing, integration and production support of the Birst Business Intelligence tool. This individual will perform some SQL Server database and web development activities to support the use of the BI tool. Ideally you have worked on 1 or 2 Birst Projects, Senior level candidates having strong background with strong BI Front end development skills in Business Objects, OBIEE or Cognos or similar BI Tools and many years background.
Experience Overview:
Prior experience on 1 or 2 Birst implementations doing development
Birst developer skills for front end dashboard and report building
Data Modeling experience of 1 – 2 years
MDX Query experience (not a must have; but will be very highly preferred if they have )
Power Pivot experience (Nice to have)
Report Development preferably Birst or similar front end BI toolset
SQL Server Development experience 3 – 6 years
Ability to work on multiple projects
Strong Oral and Written communication
Major Duties and responsibilities:
• Analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation and production support of the Birst BI tool
• Development and maintenance of reports and dashboards using the Birst BI tool
• Work with the business owners of reports to establish and clarify their requirements
• Development and modification of SQL queries and stored-procedures as required
• Preparation of applications and database procedures for deployment of builds and releases
• Provide trouble shooting support for problems through collaboration with other IT and operations staff
