Role: Network Architect

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location:  Franklin, WI

 

Job Description

• Strong understanding/troubleshooting knowledge of routing and switching  technologies. Excellent exposure to protocols like BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VRF, VPLS, Multicast, QoS, IPSEC, VLANs etc.
• Strong hands-on experience with Juniper switches like EX-2200, EX4200, EX-4300, QFX series like QFX5100, 5200,etc and MX5, MX40, MX80, MX104, MX240, MX480, MX960, etc routers. Strong knowledge of Juniper Qfabric environment – deployment/ and troubleshooting. Should be able to upgrade various Juniper high end devices independently.
• Person with strong hands-on and troubleshooting knowledge, engage OEM as needed. Good knowledge of change management process and team coordination.
• Strong understanding and experience in troubleshooting tools such as protocol analyzers and bandwidth utilization reports. Good knowledge of packet capture, Gigaview/Gigastore, etc.
• Strong design knowledge and able to articulate high level design. Provide and lead in any Network design, able to challenge design questions.
• Work closely with Architect team and provide suggestion. Work on Network road map with Architect team. Participate in the Network design/strategy meetings.
• Participate in proof-of-concept/ and vendor selection meetings.
• Exposure to wireless technologies - Aerohive/ Aruba is preferred.
• Good Knowledge of monitoring tools like eHealth, NETMRI, JUNOSPACE, NetQos.
• Good Knowledge of IPAM /DNS/DHCP management tool exposure- Infoblox
• Strong understanding of various WAN circuits/Metro Ethernet/Dark fiber
• Should be familiar with ITIL & Quality frameworks like Agile, Lean etc.
• Excellent communication skills

Secondary Skills 

• Design/Implementation/troubleshooting of knowledge of F5 LTM/GTM
• Design/Implementation/troubleshooting of knowledge of Riverbed WAN optimization – Riverbed/Interceptors
• Knowledge of Scripting to automate the various Network related health checks, etc.
• Experience with Agile backlog/project management tool
