Sr Android Developer - Wearables

Overview:
We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. They will take part in brainstorming sessions, hack-a-thons, sprint planning meetings and retrospectives. Experience with wearable apps (smart watch, fitness tracker, etc) is required for this position.
Requirements:
· Automotive Experience HIGHLY Preferred
· Must have 4-6 Years' Experience as a Android Developer with Wearables inclusive of:
o Implementing an actual Wear app (in the app store)
o Design/UI patterns, communications, and data sharing patterns specific to wear (API level 23+)
o Integration to REST and SOAP web services
o CLI and Open Source software tools
o Java(7 or 8)
o JavaScript and JS frameworks
o Unit/Functional Testing
o Configuring, managing, and using Jenkins for continuous integration
· Use of appropriate technologies (gradle for build scripts, gson to parse json, use of retrofit/okhttp, crashlytics/fabric, etc.)
· Excellent team building, people and management skills.
· Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
· Must be self-starter, proactive and willing to learn and grow with the business.
· Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Must demonstrate a hands-on approach, attention to detail and results orientation.
· Bonus Skills:
o NDK experience, emerging/modern concept experience (RxJava, EventBus, etc.)
o Knows a scripting language like php, python, ruby, perl, bash
o Experience with iOS or other mobile software development
