Title: Network Firewall Architect

Location: Houston, TX

Position: Contract

Interview: Phone/Face to Face/Skype

 

Data Center & checkpoint experience required.

 

Roles and Responsibility:

·         Work with the Project Application/Business teams to understand their requirements with respect to Firewall rules/changes needed for their project.

·         Act as the Interface between Project Application/Business teams and Firewall team.

·         Assist Application/Business teams in determining the Firewall rule changes required to meet the application requirement.

·         Work with the Firewall teams to create appropriate firewall change requests, incorporating appropriate firewall change implementation plans for testing and production cutovers.

·         Coordinate with Application, Business, firewall teams during testing, production cutovers to ensure appropriate firewall rule changes are performed and tested.

·         Drive troubleshooting calls related firewall changes made as part of the migration project.

·         Provide status updates to IT management

Mandatory requirements:

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Business/Management interfacing skills

·         Ability to work with an operational Firewall team to get the technical work completed.

·         Strong knowledge on Checkpoint Firewalls Architecture/Rules.
