Role: Certified Sr. Linux Administrator

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Local)

Duration of contract: C2C

Interview: Phone/ F2F

Job Description

Ø  8-10 year's of experience as Linux Engineer/Administrator ( must have)

Ø  In-depth knowledge of  RHEL 6

Ø  Strong Linux system administration (RedHat) and troubleshooting skills.

Ø  Solid ability to troubleshoot a variety of performance issues (with cpu/mem/disk) and other problems.

Ø  Performance tuning in RedHat Linux

Ø  Good knowledge of basic Networking (TCP/UDP/DNS/Subnets/MTU etc)

Ø  Strong understanding of init scripts, creating new filesystems, /proc and other sysadmin essentials.

Ø  Understanding of Raid Levels (Raid 1,5,1+0, 0+1)

Ø  Monitoring of Linux servers using Nagios or any monitoring tool

Ø  Experience with system management tools, logical file systems etc.

Ø  Experience in Production Server Environment.

Ø  Experience in managing enterprise Linux environment with 1000's of physical servers.

Ø  Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Ø  Big Data /Hadoop knowledge will be a big added advantage.

Ø  RedHat Satellite Server knowledge or any other system build tools.

Ø  Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet.

Ø  Experience on any disaster recovery (DR) process/procedures.

 

Scripting:(Added Advantage)

•         Knowledge of BASH required

•         Prior experience writing bash scripts with 100's lines of code.

•         BASH functions, loops, command line arguments

•         Usage of AWK, SED etc.

Linux Satellite

Certification in RedHat Linux,
