Position : Java Software Engineer(C# and .Net)
Location : Tulsa, OK
Duration : Long Term
We are currently in need of a software developer that has experience with using the Java programming language. In this role, the candidate will perform software development in the Passenger Processing group working under the direction of a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
The candidate will work on our Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS). They will be required to understand a set of software requirement document and then implement those requirements within the CUPPS platform. They must be comfortable working within an established architecture and framework. They will also need to have the ability to follow established software implementation patterns, listen well and follow directions. They should be highly analytical and knowledgeable in current technologies with strong problem solving skills.
A successful candidate should have demonstrable capabilities in the following areas:
• General programming best practices
• Experience using the Java programming language
• Multi-threading applications
• Socket programming
• Asynchronous processing of events
• XML and XSD formats, rules and usages
• SQL Server database and the Hibernate ORM
• Eclipse IDE and WTP Dynamic Web Project Framework
The following capabilities are also required for a candidate:
• Experience with C#
• WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation)
• WCF (Windows Communications Framework)
• SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
A proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio for documentation purposes is needed. The ability to pay close attention to detail, develop creative solutions for complex and abstract problems and concentrate for long periods is a must. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
