Job title: Data Flux Developer

Location: Reston , VA/ Mclean VA

1 year on Contract

Job Description:

Design and develop solutions leveraging Data Flux.
Work with the business users and provide expertise in problem definition, requirements analysis and the general design of the Feed Manager Platform
Document functional and technical requirements for the Feed Manager Platform, leveraging Data Flux as a service
Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources
Communicate analysis results and making recommendations to senior management
Assist the testing team and facilitate the user acceptance testing
Assist in maintaining all system administration, development and support documentation, including current product level release notes
Assist with the planning, implementing and testing of all system patches and upgrades

Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience with Data Flux. Experience with Data Flux ver. 2.3 DMS is required with following skills:
Experience with Data Flux for data Cleansing
Experience with Data Flux data profiling tool
Experience with Data Flux to implement data detective and data profiling quality Control capabilities
Experience with creating Jobs in Data flux tool to analyze and find Data Discrepancies based on the user requirements
Experience with Data Flux tool to Formalize the data quality function within the organization by instituting a data dictionary for several data marts
Subject Matter Expert on Data Flux technical requirements and process
Experience with Data Flux Data standardization Address Cleansing tool - Data Flux
Experience in providing data quality solution using SAS Data Flux
Experience with installation and Configuration of the Data Flux on Windows and Linux
Experience with Development of Data Flux Architect and Data Flux Profiler jobs for the extraction of data from various data sources flat files
Experience with Development of a reporting solution for data profiling, using DataFlux
Experience with Metadata Analysis, data quality and data monitoring thru Data Flux
Experience in working with Repository and creating and using Business rules
Experience creating exception reports for the Data quality issues using Data Flux
Experience with design and development of the Data Flux Testing Framework

Preferred Skills:

8 - 10 years of experience in software systems development and programming,
Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques
Experience with a variety of sources (Oracle, SQL Server, XML, flat file, Excel Spreadsheet, SAP etc.)
Proficiency with RDBMS systems, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting, and database optimizations
Understanding of modern software engineering principles, practices, and systems development methodologies, preferably Rational Unified Process (RUP)
Familiar with database analysis, design, and programming with an understanding of related technologies specifically Java, XML, and web services
Ability to support multiple concurrent projects
Technical development and relational platform design experience - especially with systems integration and interface development
Experience of software development lifecycle and methodologies spanning development, testing, release and deployment management
