Position : Business Analyst with experience in Payment Systems Enterprise
Location : Tulsa, OK
Duration : 6+ months
Description
o Support the Marketing Payment Systems Enterprise (PSE) organization
o Needs an understanding of the Marketing business in order to translate specific business requirements or opportunities into IT requirements.
o Primary responsibility of this role is to enable the Marketing business to capture additional value, efficiencies, and/or opportunities by leveraging and exploiting IT systems or processes.
o Communication and diplomacy skills are critical as the role requires direct interaction with external customers.
o Expected to participate and lead projects.
o Accountable to the business customers for the business value and performance of all IT services and is also accountable to the IT function for advocacy of IT policies, strategies, and practices.
o Some travel may be required to meet with vendors and customers around the US.
o Project and vendor management skills are critical for success in this role, as most solutions involve third party development.
o The PSE organization deals with payment systems, which require a high level of security knowledge and awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Communicating with the business customers and IT Stream Applications regarding IT services, policies, costs, processes, and needs
- Driving additional value capture for Marketing by identifying requirements, both larger capital projects and smaller enhancements, translating into IT sourced services/projects, and measuring results
- Performing front-end-loading of project initiatives in order to prioritize, determine scope, and secure funding
- Leading and providing sponsorship and guidance to some projects, as required
- Understanding business processes end-to-end, and initiating improvement to the processes and systems
- Assisting in the development of IT strategy for Payment Systems
- Understanding and identifying systems alternatives, presenting options, and making recommendations
- Partner with the business to develop long range plans for systems solutions
- Develop detailed test plans and facilitate user acceptance testing of changes and enhancements
- Prioritizing the IT demand based on business needs, and managing demand in collaboration with IT Applications
- Working with IT Applications to ensure all IT services meet customer needs
- Providing meaningful input into service levels and related prices
- Managing the business unit-specific software portfolio
- Participating in business unit, IT, vendor, and/or industry networks
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related Information Technology Field
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate IT projects
- Demonstrated experience with Payment Systems technology platforms
- Marketing and payment systems industry knowledge a plus, particularly oil and gas industry payment systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence and deliver results through others
- 5 or more years direct experience with Information Technology infrastructure and applications
- Demonstrated experience in project management methodology and tools
- Demonstrated experience with business process management methodology and tools
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders/managers
- Understanding of budgets and the business planning process
- Adept in prioritization and conflict resolution
- Self-motivated with a strong customer orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
