Title: Java Developer with DB2
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 6+ months
Essential Skills:
• Minimum 6 years of experience developing with JEE development with emphasis on RESTful Web Services using Spring Framework 3+.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, or an analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Senior level understanding and experience of secure JAX-WS, and JAX-RS web services development using Spring Framework 2.5, 3.0, and 4+.
• Senior level understanding and experience of secure coding best practices as it pertains to RESTful and SOAP JEE Web services design and coding.
• Knowledge and experience working with Struts application framework.
• Strong understanding of JEE best practices, JSP, AJAX, XML, JSF and basic UI.
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented modeling, analysis, design, programming, and testing.
• Experienced with enterprise relational databases Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL Server.
• Must have hands-on experience with Java Application Servers: IBM WebSphere 7, 8.5+, Tomcat.
• Must have recent working experience with high traffic websites.
• Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, teamwork, facilitation, consultation, and negotiation.
• Experience with Source Control systems like TFS and GIT.
Desirable Skills:
• Expert level understanding and enterprise experience with the Java programming language versions 5, 6, and 7+.
• Expert level understanding and experience of secure JEE SOAP and REST web services development using Spring Framework 2.5, 3.0, and 4+.
• Significant knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design, Web Services, XML Schema, and Restful endpoints.
• Knowledge and experience developing APIs consumed by mobile applications: iOS and Android.
• Knowledge and experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit or TFS.
• Knowledge and experience with HP Fortify and any other code hardening tools, technologies, best practices and techniques applied to Java application development.
Essential Academic Qualifications:
• Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, or an analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
