Title    SQL Developer

Location : Dearborn, MI

Duration : 6 Months +

 

 

SQL Developer, Inventory Solutions/Production Support

 

I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

This position will support the Inventory Solutions technology team in managing the discovery, development, delivery and maintenance of  dealer related projects. The position requires strong SQL and database analytical and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with JAVA is a plus.

II. Essential Job Functions

Essential Functions (primary responsibilities and accountabilities)

 

·         Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and a solid grasp of relational database concepts

·         Normalization and maintenance of data

·         Developing user friendly UIs to specification

·         Candidate needs to be able to work in a team environment and be responsible for his own deliverables

·         Communication and thought leadership is essential for this project as the team will be eliciting requirements and prototyping early in the project and working directly with the business decision makers

·         Troubleshoot and own technical issues from start to completion

·         Troubleshoot database performance (SQL), data discrepancies and web services/components

 

 

III. Other Responsibilities

 

• Experience working with SQL and stored procedures
• Experience with database management and administration (SQL)
• Understanding of technical integrations and code reviews
• Ability to work flexible hours to support application launch and production outages if necessary
• Experience in automotive related work is a plus
• Data normalization experience is a plus
• Understanding of Visual Studio is a plus
• Must have Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology related discipline
• Java experience is a plus

IV. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements |

Education:

•        Must have Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology related discipline

Experience:

•     3+ years in all applicable technologies

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•   Visual Studio •   Entity Framework •   ANSI SQL •   Data Analysis •    Data Normalization •    Familiarity w/ JAVA
