Database Administrator III for Blue Care Network. They are located in Southfield, MI.

 

SAP (Sybase) Adaptive Server and Replication Server database administration. Microsoft SQL Server database administration. Database Administrator will provide support for all areas (Installation, Upgrade, Backup, Recovery, Code Deployments, Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, etc.).

 

Engagement Description
Should be knowledgeable about the new features in the latest release of database software. Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure optimal performance, availability and security. Assist with complex queries and has the ability to tune queries to optimize performance. Deploy database changes to production and non production environments. Assists project teams in identifying requirements and cost implications. Customer focused and strong team player. Candidates should be able to work independently under tight deadlines with changing goals and priorities. Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

 

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience
1) Five (5) years of database administration experience working with various database management systems
2) Extensive experience in SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise and Replication Server administration
3) Experience with MS SQL Server administration including MS SQL replication

 

Required Experience:
5+ years SAP Sybase Adaptive Server and Replication Server administration
3+ years MS SQL Server administration
AIX, Linux, Windows Server
Backup and Recovery, BCP
Database Security
Development, QA and Production support
Maintain data replication using Sybase Replication and MSSQL replication
Experience with large databases (1+ TB)
Database and query tuning
Unix shell scripting

 

Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience with Oracle database administration
Experience in healthcare industry
Experience with Facets database
Data modeling experience
Experience using Bradmark Surveillance
Powershell scripting

 

Education/Certifications requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field   (Computer Science,  Engineering).
