Role: EDI Consultant

Location: Waunakee, WI

Duration: 3+ Months (can be remote after initial period)

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION
* Develop, monitor and support EDI maps/workflows and interfaces supporting a small to medium ERP installation project team.  
* Skill set required to maintain and enhance (new interfaces, custom triggers, workflows, scripts, stored procedures, etc.) software application.
* Will be required to develop, diagnose and maintain EDI maps, workflows and interface programs including writing queries to look at data in SQL tables

 

New Development/ Production troubleshooting
* Develop EDI maps and workflows for four trading partners as part of a transition to a new ERP solution(Microsoft Dynamics GP) using TIE Kinetixs EDI toolset(eVision, TIE Integrator)

* EDI transaction set includes 850, 810 and 856. Possible 855 and others in the future.

* Troubleshoot EDI transport and data issues.
* Work with client team as well as multiple software teams to develop solutions, resolve issues and conduct testing.

* Maintain EDI SQL source code. Perform updates as needed.

* Conduct acceptance testing with project team.

* Conduct acceptance testing with trading partners.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Must have excellent SQL knowledge to maintain interfaces program (fix issues, update) and write queries to look at data in tables.
* Ability to work independently.
* Capability to create programs/scripts using Java, Visual Basic and SQL to enhance applications.
* Must understand the methodology to investigate technical and data issues.
* Proven experience as an application developer.
* Analytical thinking and problem solving abilities.
* Good communication skills
