Title: UX/UI Designer
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: Long Term Contract
Description
- Ideate Creative concepts and directions from proposals and creative briefs.
- Redesign and optimize existing desktop websites across form factors (Mobile, Tablet) using responsive and adaptive web design principles.
- Ensure exceptional and compliant design execution across platforms.
- Mentor and train junior design team members and client design team in Responsive and Adaptive principles.
- Delegate everyday responsibilities to other designers.
- Present clear ideas and concepts to clients and other team members.
- Pitch in, hands on and provide clear direction to junior members of team
- Responsible for customer satisfaction survey scores on an average of > 4.0 on creative work you are involved with
- Involvement in all phases of project lifecycle including requirements gathering, user analysis, IA, UI design, testing and implementation
- Responsible for ensuring creative deliverables are on time and iterated expeditiously with clients
- Contribute to client deliverables and on site work as needed
- Acquire a sense for application development and UI / UX / CX
- Work towards having a strong opinion, grounded in fact on UI / UX / CX
- Create wireframes and iterate with clients based on desired features
- Hands on development of mockups and prototypes
- Responsible for teamwork with Creative Director, SAM's, Pre Sales, Delivery Managers and Technical Architects as needed on project
Skills:
· Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
· Sketch
· PowerPoint
· Invision
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience creating exceptional cross-channel digital experiences
- Strong conceptual thinking
- Experience in designing for mobile web and mobile app is preferred
- Requires to know Sketch
- Requires to be able to provide Creative Strategy based on Quantitative Analysis
- Passion for technology
- Avid mobile user
- Must have a thorough understanding of best practices for mobile optimization across web and native apps
- Must have passion for creating a superior user experience, not just the visual design
- Expert Communication Skills, both with internal teams and clients. Teamwork and collaboration is key
- Strong interest in the latest design trends, technology and social media
- A solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, user interfaces, and navigation
- Understanding of Agile Methodology or similar
- Thrives in a fast paced environment and stays calm under pressure is paramount
- Able to operate with little direction and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Able to operate in an environment where change happens daily
· Ability to travel 30% of the time and sometimes longer engagements
