Role: UI/UX Designer
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
• Bachelor degree in CS, MIS, UX or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience required
• HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (Required)
• Experience leading UI development and architecture
• Experience implementing HTML/CSS based on mockups from designers/style guides (Required)
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as AngularJS 2 and ReactJS (Required)
• Experience building SPA with REST over HTTP (Required)
• Experience with at least one server-side language/framework such as Java-SpringMVC (Required)
• Expert understanding of the DOM (Required)
• Experience coding JavaScript data visualizations and charts (Required)
• Experience with SCM - Git, SVN, ClearCase, etc. (Required)
• Understanding of UX and the design techniques and principals involved in the production of conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and HTML Prototypes (Required)
• Web Standards and Accessibility Best Practices (Required)
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
• Ability to analyze written requirements and visually conceptualize the user interface and application flows (Required)
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required)
• Knowledge of Adobe products (Required)
• Responsive Design Principles (Required)
Major Job Duties
• Work with Product Owners, UX Designers build production SPA and UI components
• Design engaging, usable, and accessible UX interactions for the web and mobile – this can be in the form of code and/or technical notes
• Analyze existing software (web and mobile) for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement
• Work with diverse team of product owners, UX designers, and developers in fast paced environment, with quick iterative cycles
Responsibility Level
• Lead the UI development and component development for projects
• Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
