Needs: Hadoop/Big data experience, United State Bachelors or Masters degree, SQA or Test Automation experience. 

Client wants candidates coming from Software Product (SaaS) Companies

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product engineers and implementation specialists to understand business use of Hadoop and our product
• Contribute feature enhancements to the open-source automated testing framework

• Analyze existing test coverage, identify gaps and develop test strategies to efficiently maximize coverage and uncover quality issues.
• Develop automated tests to verify correctness, security, scale, performance and usability of the product's distributed SQL database engine
• Design, build, and manage tests that leverage the data connectors, Hadoop eco-system modules, and commercial business intelligence (BI) tools

• Coordinate product quality efforts with agile development sprints as well as overall program plan

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science/or other Engineering related major with 8 years' experience testing enterprise software
• Or, MS degree in Computer Science/or other Engineering related major with 6 years of experience testing enterprise software
• Or, Phd in Computer Science/or other Engineering related major with 3 years of related experience
• Experience with analytic databases
• Demonstrated ability to write automated product tests using SQL
• Experience with creating and executing automated tests for an infrastructure component using product APIs or CLIs
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as python, bash, or ruby
• Experience deploying software and test scripts to Linux servers and virtual servers
• Ability to design, implement, and test software using Java or C++, demonstrating an understanding of object-oriented principles
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodology
• Experience developing UDF, UDAF, and UDTF queries considered a plus
• Exposure to Hadoop, noSQL, MPP database, or BI reporting tools considered a plus
