Role: SPLUNK Security Analytics

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Job Summary: 

The security of systems and customer data is paramount to Apple. As we increase the number of technical controls on the systems in the Apple environment, we need to audit the status of those controls and remediate any deficiencies. To address increased volume while maintaining data quality and systems processing this data, we are seeking a technical, detail oriented engineer to onboard new data sources, validate AIS controls are met, develop data parsing, create automation code, and liaison with application teams on technical matters to ensure systems meet AIS controls. Extraordinary attention to detail and outstanding troubleshooting skills are a must.

 

Key Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with partner teams to help implement AIS guidelines at a technical level
• Familiarity with text search patterns and regular expressions: creating, modifying, and validating regular expressions to parse data
• Scripting experience to write bash and python scripts for automation and system status monitoring
• Understanding of logging capabilities and best practices of Linux, UNIX, Windows based operating systems
• Application security knowledge and attack detection concepts

Additional Qualifications:

• Splunk Searching and Reporting
• Splunk Knowledge Objects

Education:

• BS or greater in Information Systems or related field
• 5+ years' experience in key qualification areas
