Responsibilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of IBM Sterling Connect Direct for UNIX and Windows and hands on experience in the same.
• Installation, Upgrade, Patching of Connect Direct and Connect Direct SDK in Windows and UNIX.
• Configuring Nodes, Users and Proxies, translation tables in Connect Direct for Windows, UNIX and Mainframes.
• Troubleshooting solidDB related errors in Connect Direct for Windows.
• Connect Direct Secure Plus ? Understanding, Configuration and Troubleshooting.
• SSL/TLS security certificates ? Self signed and CA signed Authentication procedures in Connect Direct.
• Troubleshooting issues related to Connect Direct failures.
• Understanding of Connect Direct on Clusters.
• Good Knowledge on Connect Direct Scripting for UNIX and Windows and JCLs in Mainframes.
• Knowledge on scheduling and automating Connect Direct transfers.
• Knowledge on IBM Control Center for monitoring and Remote Management of Connect Direct.
• Basic knowledge on UNIX shell scripting.
• Good to know ? other file transfer protocols like FTP/SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS
• Good to know ? other tools like Sterling Integrator, Sterling B2B Gateway, IBM Connect Direct File Agent.
• Good to know ? Windows Power Shell scripting.
• Good to be ? IBM Certified Connect Direct Administrator and ITIL Certified.
