This is not an average testing position. We are looking for a Software Developer who has a genuine interest to test the product that is being delivered as part of a new project.
PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB
Working in an agile software development environment, the Test Automation Engineer should build an automation test framework that will drive test driven development. The framework should be use to create automation scripts that will allow us to perform end-to-end and regression testing in multi-component environments. He/She will be working with a talented group of developers in the software engineering team that will be responsible for automating integration regression test cases.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for developing a testing framework for Integration/Regression testing for applications using micro service layer, Mendix applications using any open source scripting languages like Selenium Python or Perl Script and Frameworks.
• Strong understanding of web services/API and UI automation testing best practices and tools.
• Responsible for executing developed automated test suites in a cloud (AWS) infrastructure and Docker HUB environment.
• Develop a way to manage test data so that it could be used for any testing purposes.
• Participate in Agile methodology, advocating best practices and works closely with the Agile Manager to know the deliverables and commitments of each Release/Sprint
• Create Test Automation Scripts as per Test Scenarios/cases by following Automation Standards and make sure that 100% Automation Code coverage is followed with respect with the Test Scenario/case Functionality
Required Skills:
• Masters or Bachelors in Engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.
• 7 + years' experience in IT services with minimum 4+ years' experience in Automation Testing with emphasis on Automation and Web Services/API testing.
• Experience integrating automated testing into an environment relying heavily on Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment and related tools (i.e.: Jenkins)
• Experience with Agile software development methodology, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Hands on experience performing automation testing using Licensed Tools/ Open source Tools for Micro Services, Mendix, REST Services, AWS and validating the responses for correctness.
• Hands on experience to drive quality automation, strong testing practices and self- service culture, Code Quality, Continuous Integration and Unit Testing.
• Comfortable working with Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android and all browser flavors.
• Expertise in Test Automation Framework/Scripts Creation using VB Script or JAVA
• Should be able to implement Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using JAVA, CUCUMBER, JBEHAVE, JUNIT, SELENIUM or LEAN FT
• Should be Automation savvy to accomplish the desired results.
• Strong understanding of SaaS / Multitenant delivery model and inherent challenges with QA.
• Exposure in working with different group of people (Software Architects, Developers, Dev – ops) to enable continuous integration of automation execution for continuous delivery.
• Experience in working with Continuous Build Automation tools like Bamboo, Jenkins etc.
• Proficient with test/agile management tools like HP ALM, RALLY(Agile Central) and JIRA is desired.
