Client is a leading health care insurance company in central Pennsylvania. A Senior Director in IT is looking to hire a seasoned Business Data Analyst to assist with a project to document and define reports that are often times old and poorly written and documented. There is a LOT of bad data flying around this project. The ideal resource will be a very detail oriented analyst with the ability to coordinate project activities. The job will be working closely with business users (the consumers of the reports) to document what the report is and what data is needed to feed the report properly. One concern is the business users often respond with "this is an IT issue" and kick it back. Therefore this analyst needs to be a strong willed, assertive but professional resource. Experience pulling information out of difficult end users is important, as is a proven track record reverse engineering reports and testing and fixing data problems with in reports.
Required Skills:
Strong Business and Data Analysis Skills
Strong documentation skills (Business Requirements Documents (BRD's) and Technical Specs)
Strong SQL skills (able to write complex SQL statements, inner and outer joins, stored procedures etc.
Proven experience working on Business Intelligence and Reporting projects
Excellent communication skills
