Need a Principal Hadoop Architect

Responsibilities:

·         Responsible to define the vision, strategy, and high-level designs for high-quality services.

·         Collaborate with support resources, business, development, and infrastructure teams in the development and delivery of data solutions.

·         Drive set up of environment so that data strategy may be effectively supported and enabled.

·         Provide data APIs for downstream consumption of the data.

·         Provide knowledge and advanced analytics using: MapReduce, Hadoop, MADlib, and SQL technologies.

·         Document use cases, solutions, and recommendations.

·         Assist team with day to day knowledge sharing of Data Modeling techniques.

·         Assist team with managing of on-time deliveries of technical solutions.

Qualifications:

·         5+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environment (RHEL6 and higher).

·         2+ years of experience working within an enterprise Hadoop environment.

·         Expert level experience architecting, building and maintaining enterprise grade Hadoop environments.

·         Expert level understanding of Hadoop HDFS and MapReduce framework internals.

·         Experience with components in Hadoop echo system (Hive, Pig, Impala, Ambari, Oozie, Sqoop, HDFS, Yarn, Spark).

·         Understanding of Cloudera distribution with Hadoop.

·         Expert level understanding of Hadoop security and user authentication.

·         Expert level understanding of flume
