Job Description:

 

Title: AWS Lead Developer

Location: Houston, TX

Hiring: Contract

 

Required Qualifications

·         Extensive development experience using Node.JS, Node.JS frameworks, RESTful web services, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS

·         2 Year experience working with services in AWS such as EC2, RDS, ELB's and have knowledge of VPC's (AWS and/or RightScale knowledge a plus)

·         Strong experience in developing Cloud Formation Scripts in Amazon AWS.

·         Prior experience in moving traditional 3-tier web applications to Amazon AWS hosted environment

·         2 years MySQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and SOLR development experience, and able to explain the reasons behind selecting these solutions.

·         3 years using Java, Java Spring and associated frameworks

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years' experience with full stack Web Application development using Node.JS or Java

·         Experience with server side and client side MVC frameworks such as React, Angular or Backbone

·         Exposure to CI, automated testing & agile development methods

·         Ability to contribute to design and architecture.

·         Strong communication skills
