Role:- AWS Lead Developer
Duration:- 6+ Months Contract
Location:- Houston, TX
Job Description:
Purpose of Role/Organizational Unit:
• Extensive development experience using Node.js, Node.js frameworks, RESTful web services, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS
• 2 year experience working with services in AWS such as EC2, RDS, ELB's and have knowledge of VPC's (AWS and/or RightScale knowledge a plus)
• Strong experience in developing Cloud Formation scripts in Amazon AWS.
• Prior experience in moving traditional 3-tier web applications to Amazon AWS hosted environment
• 2 years MySQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and SOLR development experience, and able to explain the reasons behind selecting these solutions.
• 3 years using Java, Java Spring and associated frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years' experience with full stack Web Application development using Node.js or Java
• Extensive development experience using Node.js, Node.js frameworks, RESTful web services, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS
• Experience with server side and client side MVC frameworks such as React, Angular or Backbone
• Exposure to CI, automated testing, and agile development methods
• Ability to contribute to design and architecture.
• Strong communication skills
