Position: Hadoop, Hive Impala Developer

Location: Bloomfield , CT
Duration: Contract

 

Job Description:

 

Technical/Functional Skills

'-Primary:   IntelliJ, PyCharm or Eclipse

-Secondary: Jenkins, uDeploy, Git, Rally(for Agile)

 

Experience Required

-Experience with Java, J2EE, Unix and Shell Scripting

-Scala and/or Python experience

-Experience with Hadoop, Hive, HQL, Impala

Good to have :-

-Working knowledge of Spark a  Big plus

-Familiarity with Agile and Scrum teams

-Healthcare industry experience.

Engineer skill set at least one of the following skills: Python, Scala, JavaScript, Hadoop

Understanding of data models

Degree in a quantitative discipline: statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, data mining, machine learning, or some other empirical science.

Experience developing in languages such as Java, Python, AngularJS, PERL, Visualization (Looker and Tableau) and others.

Experience in a business intelligence or analytic development role on a variety of large scale projects (3 years minimum)

Excellent Data analysis skills

Ability to communicate at various levels within large organizations

 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a proficiency in technical design, implementation of enhancements to products, unit testing, debugging, and maintenance;
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code using Python/J2EE
• Working exposure on the IDEs (IntelliJ, PyCharm or Eclipse)
• Use Jenkins for Automation, Git for checking in and check out code component and Udeploy for code deployment in different environment.
• Use Rally for Agile  iteration planning & scheduling
