CASSANDRA DBA / VA / Contract

Hi,

Position: Cassandra DBA
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

•       Oracle+ pl/Sql

•       oracle migration knowledge to Cassandra

•       performance tuning

•       Good experience of Cassandra modeling and admin activities

•        Setting up of Cassandra data cluster

•        Design experience on Cassandra

•        Knowledge of relational databases mainly Oracle, Db2.  This includes knowledge of tools used for running queries, performing DB schema changes and analyzing database activity/performance.

•        Experience with SQL, PL/SQL coding, stored procedures, triggers, functions, packages, Logical and Physical database design.

•        Experience writing advanced SQL, analyzing developer SQL.

•        Experience with Unix/Linux a must. 

•        Experience with Python and shell scripting.

•        Design assistance and advice for new tables/columns

•        Preferably write/perform (or at least advise on) db activity/scripts.
