Position : Back End Java/JEE developer
Location : Charlotte, NC
Duration : year-long project
Interview : The manager will hire off of one phone screen
Candidate have to score atleast 85% in coding test.
Candidates must complete 2 java coding challenges and a scenario before being submitted to the position.
Must Have Skills:
We are seeking a Back End Java/JEE developer on a six month contract engagement. The individual selected will be fully devoted to this project and will report to the Velogica Director of Application Development while working closely with the Velogica DBA and Architect.
· At least five years of Java/JEE experience ( Heavy Back End Coding)
· At least three years of MySQL experience
· At least two years of hibernate experience
·Experience meeting with product owners to take their requirements and create the technical solution or " low level design" and then use that to begin coding. This is the next level of experience than a typical heads down developer who just received instructions and codes. They need to be able to create the design and create the coding plan. – This is very important!!!
· EXECELLENT communication because they are meeting with Product owners
· Demonstrated ability to function independently
·They will be the only person working on this, so someone with previous experience working solo on a project is preferred
· Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
