Job Description IT Project Manager II Baxter Healthcare Round Lake IL location Assignment through August 2017 No H1B(But Good Opt will also be fine) Consultant should be from Pharma, Medical etc. Plan and set direction for multiple concurrent projects of varying size that supports two business functions. Responsible for the quality and delivery of systems and or service commitments on schedule, using assigned internal/external resources and following standards. Manage/lead all phases beginning to end of the project. Assist clients in identifying, understanding and responding to opportunities for cost-effective innovation and adherence to corporate policies. Manage activities of all internal/external resources on projects or service deliverables. Will be accountable for approximately five business systems. Will own relationship with external vendors. Will have 1 direct report, and support from ~5 external resources. Accountable for capability development of innovation function. Must demonstrate solid technical knowledge, demonstrate strong business knowledge, require limited direction, give significant direction, handle complex problems, possesses extensive knowledge of project development processes and/or SDLC, have strong communication and interpersonal skill 1. Manage/lead entire project or service including technical solution, implementation, support and quality. Understand and direct/participate in all phases of project implementation on multiple large projects. 2. Prioritize work and schedules. 3. Review project team deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results, etc.) and adherence standards/regulatory requirements. 4. Interact with customers to understand their business and to anticipate IT solutions based on business and technical knowledge. Manage the customer relationship with business project sponsor. 5. Responsible for capital and expense project budget. Assist the business in capital and expense planning for IT projects as well. 6. Provide direct supervision and mentoring of project team member's during the project. Provide project performance feedback to the team member's supervisor/manager 7. Participate in the research, analysis, selection, and implementation of new tools, technologies and/or services. 8. Participate in setting direction and standards for the portfolio or group. 9. Risk and issue management and effective stakeholder communication Qualifications: Expert in project management/processes and/or SDLC. Strong business acumen. Solid presentation skills, oral and written communication skills and teamwork skills. Strong influencing skills. Proven track record on delivering large scale projects. Prudent risk taker. Leadership and budget experience. Project Management Certification preferred. Demonstrated history of successful project delivery Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or relevant work experience. Experience with Microsoft Project and SharePoint a strong preference. 7+ years of systems experience including 3+ years of project leadership
