Position: Azure Architect
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 3 Months
Must haves: Strong Azure experience, strong infrastructure management, continuous integration and deployment
Position Summary:
This role would be responsible for driving the migration of on-premises applications to Azure-based on client's defined High Availability architecture. You will lead and design the Azure architecture, the infrastructure management and security best practices for this PaaS project.
Responsibilities:
• Design of all of web enabled API for app services
• Management of all traffic, load balancing and load / performance testing
• Storage management
• DevOps continuous deployment
Position requirements:
• 6-8 years of application infrastructure management
• 1-2 years of Azure experience
• Strong experience with managing Azure migrations to either public or hybrid cloud
• Experience with cloud App Services – Web and API
• Traffic Manager/Load Balancers
• Application Authentication (Azure AD)
• Blob Storage
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Resource Manager
• Development/Test expertise
• Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment expertise in Azure
• High Availability spanning Azure Data Centers
• Load and Performance testing in High Availability environments
• Application routing in HA environments for data access/data writes
• Excellent communication skills
