Sr. Performance Testing Engineer

Responsibilities:

Our client is testing, and breaking, code constantly, but they rebuild it better.

Software Quality Engineers (SQE) design our client's testing infrastructure and write code to examine and validate large-scale software development and deployments.

As an SQE, you partner with software developers to create and code tests concurrently with product development.

You build tools that help developers be more productive, write better code and test it themselves.

Troubleshooting is an understatement; it's more like trouble forecasting.

The SQE will also act as a representative of the Software Quality Engineering Team in scrum meetings and provide input on how to provide better quality coverage for the applications supported.

Please do not apply. Development of performance testing scripts using robust tools such as JMeter (preferred).

Execution of performance testing

Providing insights into the test results, metrics , entrance and exit criteria.

Provide expertise in performance tuning of applications written in Drupal, PHP, JavaScript, Node, JAVA, etc.

Significant understanding on complex application architecture

Provide instrumentation on application under test

Educate team members and stakeholders on metrics such as 90th percentile, avg. response time, hits/sec, transactions/sec, etc.

 

Qualifications:

 

5+ years of solid working experience on developing performance testing scripts using JMeter.

3+ years of experience in application performance tuning.

2+ years of experience leading projects with minimal supervision.

1+ years of web testing experience

1+ years of API level testing experience

Experience in AWS (auto-scaling, S3, SQS, SNS)

Exposure to Agile Management tools such as Rally, a big plus.
