Requirement:
Seeking a Senior ETL/SSIS developer with advanced ETL Architecture/ETL Development background .He or she should have with advanced ETL/SSIS and SQL Server Skills along with Data warehouse /Business Intelligence and Data modeling Background. He should also have ETL tuning and Database tuning experience. He should also be having an DW appliance technology background like Teradata or Netezza or Exadata. This role is a part of the Data Services/Data warehouse team. This resource will be working in addressing ETL gaps, ETL issues , process improvements, ETL performance gaps, Query tuning , etc. . The new hire will also be working on other upgrade and strategic projects that focus on complex business requirements.
He will be developing ETL code/SSIS packages as part of the project activities.
He will be involved in some production support or SQL SERVER/SSIS upgrade project.
he should have knowledge on other ETL tools, Oracle, DB2, SQL SERVER, etc.
- He should be knowing Data warehousing best practices.
- Provide onsite development including responsibility for the day-to-day performance, maintenance, and monitoring of the Data Warehouse system and its technical interfaces.
- Design architecture, map business rules and processes into technical solutions.
- Designing and leading the development of production SQL and database changes as well as assistance with the design of efficient database and storage structures.
- Perform analysis, development, and evaluation of data mining in a data warehouse environment that includes data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
- Hands-on ETL development and Review ETL load jobs for consistency and quality.
- Provide ETL design, development and testing estimations based business requirements and research into data that is currently sourced.
- Design of views, data mart solutions , and cubes.
- Implement Data Management strategies which include validation of source data and the use of data in management reporting.
- Develop design specifications, unit test plans, and troubleshoot client issues. Work with a diverse project team with an emphasis on repeatable processes and technical documentation
- Perform hands-on design, development and testing within the ETL tool environment using a mixture of GUI driven tools and hands-on SQL
- Analyse, design and implement User Interface (reports and dashboards)
- Educate client management and business users on business value and capabilities of data warehousing and business intelligence
- Provide advice and guidance on data warehousing approaches and solutions, and use of data warehousing methodology
- Assist in identifying and prioritizing business information needs, and defining business benefit of data warehousing
- Assist in evaluating and selecting data warehousing tools for business intelligence, data population, data management, metadata management, and warehouse administration
- Responsible for supporting the architecture and design of the data warehouse, data marts and BI reports which will support various data initiatives
- Performs table and interface design, development of logical and physical
data model/database, ETL processes, BI reporting and population and tuning of databases/ETL processes/BI reports/queries while meeting business/user requirements
