Skills Required and Job Description:

MOI Telephonic + Face to Face The selected candidate will perform the following duties: - Provide support (troubleshooting, analysis, repair) of existing VB 6 and VB.NET plant floor applications - Diagnose and repair applications / system issues - Work with customer to coordinate system installation / implementation - Track progress and provide weekly status reports to the project manager and team manager - Update / enhance existing plant floor applications - Lead / participate in requirements gathering and system designs - Design, development and deploy VB.NET applications according to existing department standards - Project time tracking / time entry - Application testing and monitoring - Customer interaction and support - Application / system implementation and support - Backfill support for existing VB6 / vb.net plant floor applications                                                          - Documentation of incident reports / countermeasures                                                    Required Skills and Experience: - 8+ years of experience of utilizing VB.NET - Proficient in designing and developing standalone VB,NET WinForms and Console applications - Demonstrated experience in object-oriented application architecture, design, and development - Expertise with integration of .NET applications with SQL Server 2005 - Expertise designing and developing VB.NET applications and services - Thorough working knowledge of the .NET Framework and the CLR - Proficient developing SQL Server Stored procedures and queries - Proficient in use of file System Objects in VB. NET - Able to complete assigned tasks with minimum amount of supervision / direction - Able to effectively prioritize concurrent tasks and complete work on schedule in a demanding environment - Exceptional communication skills                                             - Ability to develop design documentation and program specifications                                        - Ability to gather and document system and functional requirements                                             Preferred Skills and Experience: - Knowledge of Java/J2EE programming, Ethernet communication, PC hardware and operating systems, including Windows, Linux/Unix/AIX - Experience \ knowledge of Serial Communication (RS-232 / RS-422) - Familiar with Windows CE devices - Familiarity with Prorammable Logic Controllers (PLC's) - Familiarity with OPC Server (Kepware) - VB.NET using Compact Framework version 2.0 - Familiarity with TQM Tools and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effect Analysis) - Effectively communicate technical concepts in business terminology - Familiar with Manufacturing environment
