Role: Cognos Developer
Location: Weehawken, NJ
Duration: 6+ months

Primary Skills : Cognos Developer

Job Description:                   

* Strong understanding of Cognos 10.2 suite and Data Warehouse concepts

* Perform data analysis and develop report specs in Cognos 10.2

* Create, enhance/maintain the Framework Manager model, including packages designed for report development and adhoc work space

* Should have strong SQL experience in Oracle/Sybase

* Ability to troubleshoot queries and resolve performance issue

* Hands on experience on Cognos 10.2 BI security, Roles, Groups, for data level and object level security.

* Hands on experience in Cognos cube modeling

 

Basic Qualifications:

* 7+ years' experience in IT and business intelligence

* Minimum 5+ years overall Cognos BI experience

* Strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts.

* Understand Logical and Physical data modeling best practices and techniques

* Experience in developing slowly changing dimensions, error handling and performance tuning.
