JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Senior Reports Developer who would be responsible for the design and development of SQL Server reporting solutions. The ability to troubleshoot performance problems and data issues is required. Candidate must have excellent communication skills with management, development teams, business staff, vendors, systems administrators and other related service providers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop and implement SQL reporting solutions required to meet the diverse needs of financial advisors and internal corporate staff.
• Work closely with both technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis to pass along important information and to ensure the design and implementation details are understood by all parties.
• Work collaboratively with IT staff on development, application support and other technical efforts. The candidate will be expected to be an active team member.
• Design and develop reports using a variety of technologies, including SSRS and SSIS
• Develop creative solutions and write technical design based on the requirements; perform peer code reviews and provide feedback
• Assist in tuning and optimization.
• Develop and execute unit tests for product components
• Promote high quality, scalability, and timely completion of projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Database Development utilizing SQL Server 2000/SQL Server 2005 and/or SQL Server 2008.
• Proven track record of experience in SQL Database Development, with a strong understanding Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.
• Detailed understanding and experience with DTS & SSIS
• Candidate will be a results oriented creative/strategic thinker with leadership skills; analytical with attention to detail, excellent organization and time management skills; and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Prior experience with both OLAP & OLTP databases
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment a plus.
• Financial Industry experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Expertise with ASP.NET 3.5\4.0 using C#, JavaScript and client-side scripting concepts a plus, but not required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) from four-year College or University; or minimum 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
