Role: Sr. System Engineer
Location: Mounds View, MN

Required:
JOB SUMMARY: Work with team leaders to review current Citrix XenApp environment deployment, architecture and use cases and create design for a replacement VMware Horizon View RDSH environment. Provide architecture leadership and direction. Ensure current system requirements are met in new system design. Lead technical design and project planning, configuration, testing, and implementation. Partner with current team to help build replacement environment.
Responsibilities:
• Establish core architecture principles as applicable for global platform.
• Facilitate the transformation of current Citrix XenApp environment to VMware Horizon View RDSH environment.
• Facilitate the design of a new global VMware Horizon View RDSH environment.
• Ensure compliance to established data architecture principles and policies.
• Provide leadership in a large-scale system design and migration project by providing data architecture guidance and expertise.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application architects to design enterprise-class solution.
• Lead, plan, define, and implement best practices/standards for solution.
• Provide input, recommendations, and planning into the standards setting process.
• Provide leadership, training, mentorship, and direction to other team members.
• Identify, understand, and document all relevant data sources.
• Provide technical and architecture assistance to implementation teams.
Qualifications:
• Must have 5+ years of Citrix XenApp support and administration experience in a global, multi-site environment.
• Must have 5+ years of Citrix XenApp engineering and solution design experience in a global, multi-site environment.
• Must have 5+ years of VMware VDI / RDSH support and administration experience in a global, multi-site environment.
• Must have 5+ years of VMware VDI / RDSH engineering and solution design experience in a global, multi-site environment.
Note: Location, Initial onsite will be in MoundsView, MN and potential onsite in Mansfield, MA (Would be 40hrs onsite for the initial design stage with availability for remote work once established. Onsite as needed throughout the project.)
