Role - QA Lead

Location - Stamford, CT

Duration - 6 Months

Must have Test Automation and Java Development skills. (Recent)

Looking for a QA Lead responsible for implementation and management of test process framework for a complex B2B platform encompassing all current and future releases of the platform. This includes leveraging shift-left methods to understand a complex domain and product and application of relevant test methodology and strategy to meet product certification needs. The QA lead will assume overall ownership of establishing and evolving formal QA processes, manage all aspects of quality assurance including application of industry best practices and success of test effort in consistently delivering quality product in a continuous delivery process.  

Qualification Requirements

• Own validation processes, methods, and procedures and define quality criteria for all software deliverables
• Ensure that the quality gates and goals are known to the relevant stakeholders and engineering team
• Participates in cross-functional discussions to review the impact of platform changes for a specific release
• Responsible for development of test project plans, test schedule, test plans, and detailed test cases
• Evaluate leading indicators on product quality based on execution results and report release suitability
• Ensure adherence to established test standards and procedures during test activities performance      
• Implement and administer ASQ tools and manage the state of the test environments and coordinate usage
• Identifies and implement areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, and test automation
• Work collaboratively with product owners and distributed engineering teams for success of QA effort
• 25% travel may be required during initial engagement period followed by periodic scheduled travels

Required Skills

• Demonstrated career commitment to software testing with deep knowledge of latest testing theory and concepts
• Hands-on experience in implementing test process frameworks and STLC in complex technology implementations
• Strong test management foundation with relevant professional certifications
• Proven experience in all aspects of software testing – interface, system, system integration, E2E business process
• Experience with Test and Defect Management ASQ tools like TestLink, Jira etc. is a MUST
• Experience in performance test scripting using Loadrunner/JMeter/MS VSTS is preferred
• Experience in client side performance analysis using YSlow, WebPageTest etc. is preferred
• Experience in Database Testing using Toad, SSDT, SQL Developer, SQL Profiler, AWR Scripts, SSMA etc. is preferred
• Exposure to server performance diagnostics and profiling using JProfiler, YourKit, SQL Profiler, AWR Scripts is a plus
• Ability to organize test design approaches with maximum impact for time allotted
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Independent decision-making and good judgment
• Strong time, interpersonal, people and facilitation skills
• Ability to operate comfortably in a multi-task / multi priority environment across a distributed agile team

Experience

• Min. of 8+ years of experience in product testing and certification of Server, Web and Native Mobile platforms
• Experience in GRC/Third Party Risk Management domain is a plus
• Past experience in grounds-up setup and evolution  of formal QA practices is a plus
• Experience leading a team of offshore QA teams is a plus
• Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
