Role: Applications Consultant - SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services)

Job description: 

• The candidate would be working in SAP Data Services (DS) & Information Steward (IS) projects.

• Expected to work independently or with teams on design of complex ETL flows and Data Quality jobs.

• Will be required to work in data warehousing, migration & integration scenarios in SAP as well as non-SAP environments.

• Profiling various information systems, capture source/target mappings and transformations based on project requirements

• Designing complex SAP Data Services job flows to extract from/load to SAP systems such as SAP ECC, CRM, SCM, BW, HANA as well as non-SAP systems such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Teradata

• Experience with DI transforms such as Query, Validation, Case transforms as well as DQ transforms such as Match, Associate, Data Cleanse & Address Cleans

• Tuning jobs for high volume and complex transformation scenarios

• Configuring DS components including job server and repositories-

• Setting up DS data stores to connect to variety of data sources such as SAP HANA, SAP R/3, SAP BW, Oracle, MS SQL Server , Teradata

• Develop jobs to extract data from SAP Extractors & Tables, SAP BW DSOs, load to BW PSA

• Automation of DS/IS jobs using in-built and third party schedulers

• Developing and executing advanced data profiling, data validation scenarios

General Qualifications:

• 5 years and above experience in SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services)

• Experience implementing and optimizing ETL processes using SAP Business Objects Data Services.

• Expertise in SAP Data Quality Management, SAP Information Steward.

• Experience working on data integration projects with SAP and knowledge of database tables and relationships in SAP.

• Understanding relational data models.

• Worked with SAP ECC, CRM, and BW Extractors in BODS and must have done Custom ABAP code generation.

• ETL Performance tuning
